The mission: Excellence in craftsmanship.
I was born to a family of craftsmen and artists. Back home there were hundred years old drawings of my grandfathers hanging on the walls. It is a family of craftsmen designing everything from buildings to furniture. The family history goes hand in hand with art and design. We lived and worked trough the transitions of European style from historical Neo Classic, trough Vienna inspired Art Nouveau, then Bauhaus inspired Modernism and beyond.

I keep the knowleddge of craft in the family as well as the antique tools, that were passed on from generation to generation. With great skill of my professors nd teachers, I became a proffesional designer.
Samuel is the principal designer and founder of SAMO. He is a graduate of the Department of Wood Crafting at Bratislava High school of applied arts, department of Product Design at Academy of fine arts and design, internship in Industrial design at the University of Duisburg-Essen and a doctoral study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. He worked for 10 years as the head of Design and concept department in the biggest LED factory in Slovakia. His designs reached Europe, North America and Asia and a selection of his work is listed in Slovak Design Museum.
